Night Shift Production Operatives (x2)
Hours:
- Sunday–Thursday, 22:00–06:30
- Monday–Friday, 22:00–06:30
Based in Shipton-under-Wychwood, Matthews Cotswold Flour is a long‑established, family‑run specialist flour mill producing award‑winning flour for major retailers—including Tesco, Waitrose and the Co‑op—as well as artisan bakers nationwide.
Salary:
- Starting at £29,210.00
- Rising to £31,547.00 following successful completion of a 6‑month probation period

Role Overview:
Full training will be provided across all aspects of the role, including:
- Packing flour and operating machinery
- Following mixing recipes to meet product specifications
- Conducting quality checks and releasing product
- Completing and updating all required computerised documentation
- Supporting and promoting a positive Food Safety Culture
You will also:
- Follow all Operating Procedures (OPs) and maintain associated paperwork
- Adhere to packing line routines, ensuring correct print codes, labelling, bag identification and pallet quality
- Meet all quality specifications, recipes and flush procedures
Ideal Experience:
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
- Working knowledge of packing plant operations and procedures is advantageous

Eight Generations And Counting...
Our story began in 1912, when MCF founder FWP (Frederick) Matthews built a mill on the river Evenlode. The company is led by seventh and eighth generation father and son team – Paul and Bertie Matthews – FWP Matthews’ great-great-grandson and great-great-great-grandson (respectively).
