Drivers (Class 1, Class 2, Van Drivers)
Full Time Role / 5 Days Per Week + Overtime | Industry Standard / dependant on experience | Department: Logistics

Our team of drivers are a huge part of our business. Delivering award winning flour to 100s of bakeries across the UK every week. We have class 1 artic drivers and class 2 rigid drivers as well as van drivers. Drivers are offered generous overtime rates and generally do a night out a week for class 2 drivers. We deliver direct into bakeries on pallets and by sack delivering 16KG sacks and 7.5KG packs. Our customers value our team of drivers above all other in the industry. You will be joining a hardworking and valued team.

Our story began in 1912, when MCF founder FWP (Frederick) Matthews built a mill on the river Evenlode. The company is led by seventh and eighth generation father and son team – Paul and Bertie Matthews – FWP Matthews’ great-great-grandson and great-great-great-grandson (respectively).

We’ve just announced that Thomas Hall has won the Young Baker Award for November 2024 - huge congratulations to Thomas! Matthews Cotswold Flour launched the Young Baker Programme to encourage more young people to turn their passion for home baking into a successful career in the bakery industry. The Young Baker Award has been developed in response to feedback from our pro-baker customers, indicating an ongoing shortage of good bakery staff joining the sector.
