Electrical Engineer / Technician

We are looking for a qualified electrical engineer to support the continued growth and development of our business. You will work with a chief engineer and be given career and training opportunities to improve your skills. Matthews Cotswold Flour has a modern roller mill and traditional stoneground mill. We mill a range of conventional, organic and grains from certified regenerative agriculture. We have a sack packing facility, blending plant, pre-packing plant and other machinery related to milling award winning flour.
Trainee Miller / Qualified Miller
Full Time Role / 5 Days Per Week + Overtime | £27k-£45k dependant on experience (no experience required for trainee role) | Department: Milling

Our award winning flour is blended from a wide range of speciality grains. tested, cleaned, conditioned, blended and milled into the widest range of flour in the UK. Matthews Cotswold Flour has a modern roller mill and traditional stoneground mill. We mill a range of conventional, organic and grains from certified regenerative agriculture. Millers will be trained to the highest of standards with 7 modules from UKFM and an extra 3 advanced modules from MCF.

Drivers (Class 1, Class 2, Van Drivers)
Full Time Role / 5 Days Per Week + Overtime | Industry Standard / dependant on experience | Department: Logistics

Our team of drivers are a huge part of our business. Delivering award winning flour to 100s of bakeries across the UK every week. We have class 1 artic drivers and class 2 rigid drivers as well as van drivers. Drivers are offered generous overtime rates and generally do a night out a week for class 2 drivers. We deliver direct into bakeries on pallets and by sack delivering 16KG sacks and 7.5KG packs. Our customers value our team of drivers above all other in the industry. You will be joining a hardworking and valued team.
Warehouse Operative
Full Time Role / 5 Days Per Week + Overtime | £23.5k-£25k dependant on experience | Department: Operations

Our award winning flour is packed into 16KG sacks and 1.5KG home baking flour. We deliver UK wide to over 500 bakeries, retailers Tesco, Waitrose, COOP and to wholesalers and manufacturers across the UK.

Matthews Cotswold Flour is situated in the heart of the Cotswolds in the village of Shipton-Under-Wychwood. We are surrounded by 14 acres of parkland along the river Evenlode. We are looking for a year round or seasonal part time gardener to help us manage and develop the land around the mill in support of nature. Hourly rate is dependent on experience, we have all equipment you may need.

Our story began in 1912, when MCF founder FWP (Frederick) Matthews built a mill on the river Evenlode. The company is led by seventh and eighth generation father and son team – Paul and Bertie Matthews – FWP Matthews’ great-great-grandson and great-great-great-grandson (respectively).
