Matthews Einkorn Flour – perfect for warm and comforting bakes

Choose from individual or multi-packs of Einkorn Flour

Einkorn flour is made from ancient wheat, one that has stood the test of time to deliver natural flavour alongside added health benefits.

Matthews Einkorn flour is grown in the Cotswolds and stoneground to protect and maintain the wheat in its ancient form. Nothing is added or taken away from the Einkorn berry. Our Einkorn whole-grain flour can be used to create rustic bakes from any wholegrain recipe.

Some of the properties of Einkorn flour separate it from modern wheat. The protein level in Einkorn flour is around 30% higher than modern wheat, there is close to 15% less starch, and you’ll find a higher concentration of minerals, dietary fibre and B vitamins. This makes Einkorn ancient wheat such a unique proposition for wholemeal baking.

Matthews Einkorn flour has a flavour that can be compared to modern wheat but with richer undertones of nut and a more toast-like essence. Einkorn is perfect for rustic bakes or comfort food like banana bread and pancakes.

If you are looking for a healthy flour that connects your baking to a simpler, natural time, then Matthews Einkorn Flour is a perfect choice.

You can buy Matthews Wholemeal Einkorn Flour individually or in packs of five.
