- Total time: 55 minutes, plus cooling
- Flour(s) used: Regenerative Plain or Conventional Plain Flour
- Preheat the oven to 170c and line 3 x 7 inch cake tins with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add the eggs, flour and cocoa powder and combine. Mix together the food colouring with the milk.
- Pour this in and incorporate. Finally, mix the bicarb with the vinegar and quickly stir this through the batter. Transfer evenly between the tins and bake for 35 minutes.
- Fill and decorate however you please!
